LA Catholic Church urges parishes to join in Venezuelan earthquake relief effort
The Archdiocese of Los Angeles said its parishes and schools in L.A. County will hold emergency collections this month to help with the relief effort.
Father Miguel Acevedo is the pastor of Saint Paul’s Catholic Church in South Los Angeles. In an interview, he showed ABC7 some of the supplies donated already by parishioners for the victims of the Venezuelan earthquakes.
“Thankfully my family is safe,” he said.
