Fr. David Zamora

Bearded man in a black clerical shirt seated in a library, smiling with blurred bookshelves in the background.
“ I hope people, when they encounter me as a priest, I hope that they see the face of Jesus Christ. I hope that they see somebody that cares about their salvation and cares about who they are, and how their relationship with God can grow.”

– Fr. David Zamora

Age: 26
Hometown: Lancaster
Home parish: Sacred Heart Church, Lancaster
Parish assignment: Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Northridge

David Zamora was born in South Gate and raised in Lancaster, CA, where he attended Sacred Heart Church. He felt called to help people from a young age, but just wasn’t quite sure how God wanted to use him. He taught OCIA classes, was a sacristan, lector, and extraordinary minister at his parish — in his own words: “I felt like it was in my element when I was around God… doing his work.” Zamora joined the seminary at 17 and fell in love with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
