David Zamora was born in South Gate and raised in Lancaster, CA, where he attended Sacred Heart Church. He felt called to help people from a young age, but just wasn’t quite sure how God wanted to use him. He taught OCIA classes, was a sacristan, lector, and extraordinary minister at his parish — in his own words: “I felt like it was in my element when I was around God… doing his work.” Zamora joined the seminary at 17 and fell in love with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
