Servant of God Michelle Duppong, a FOCUS missionary and Director of Adult Faith Formation within the Diocese of Bismarck, was born in North Dakota in 1984. Michelle’s life on her family farm was filled with caring for animals, gardening, and attending Mass with her family. In college, she encountered the FOCUS Missionaries and joined them full-time once she graduated. She loved going from campus to campus, sharing her love of Christ — especially in the Eucharist — with everyone. She is remembered for her joy that “radiated from her.” Diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at the age of 30, she accepted God’s will with peace, stating: “If God wants me to go through this, I will go through this.” In hospice end-of-life care, Michelle offered her suffering for others, passing on December 25, 2015.
Her life is one of quiet surrender and radiating joy in all things – read about her here.
