Father Christian Morquecho
Read the Angelus News article about our new LA Priest, Father Christian Morquecho.
“It would be really cool to try to help just give people a space to ask questions that even feel odd.”
– Fr. Christian Morquecho
Age: 31
Hometown: Winnetka, CA
Home parish: St. Joseph the Worker, Winnetka
Favorite Hobby: Journaling, Coffee Shops, Bird Watching & Learning to Surf
First parish assignment: Incarnation Church, Glendale
First Mass: Saturday, May 31 at 5:30pm – St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church (Winnetka)
Fr. Christian was born in California and is the youngest of four. He grew up in the Church, attending his share of youth ministries and confirmation retreats. He attended Crespi Carmelite High School where he played football. While attending college in San Diego he struggled with his faith and sought comfort in the local parish by attending weekly vigil Mass. Soon, he was going to daily Mass at his parish on campus and became more and more interested in becoming a priest. After graduating college, he joined St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo. As a priest, Morquecho hopes to provide a gentle listening ear, similar to the one that was provided to him all those years ago. In doing so, he knows the people will inspire him as much as he hopes to encourage others.
Thank you for your prayers and support for vocations in our Archdiocese.
