Archbishop Gomez to celebrate special Mass for election of new Pope

Archbishop José H. Gomez will celebrate a Mass for the election of a new Pope at on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 12:10 p.m. at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.

This Mass concurs with the beginning of the conclave in Rome and it is an opportunity for the faithful to pray together for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in the election of the next Holy Father. All faithful are invited to attend this Mass and to pray for the Church during this historic moment.

At the same time, all parishes across the Archdiocese of Los Angeles are highly encouraged to celebrate the weekday Masses on May 7 for the election of a new Pope.
