Artists honor Virgin of Guadalupe with new exhibit
For more than 20 years, sacred artist Lalo Garcia has expressed his devotion to the Virgin Mary through art. Garcia’s work will take center stage at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles with a special exhibit honoring La Virgen de Guadalupe.
Garcia, originally from Michoacán, Mexico, has spent decades creating artwork that blends faith, culture and tradition. His pieces can be found in churches and institutions across LA, including the well-known mural of the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe at the Cathedral.
The Virgin of Guadalupe holds a special place in the hearts of many Catholics, especially in Mexico and the Americas. Her image represents love, hope and compassion. For Garcia, this devotion runs deep.
