From Here to Eternity

Joy and gladness are palpable in today’s Scripture. Exultations and songs, leaping gazelles and fragrant blossoms give us a sense of the richness of God’s love for his people. When we open ourselves up to God without holding back, we reach a place where despair and fear can never sink their teeth into us. That doesn’t mean we won’t have our share of struggles. Jesus never promised us a life of ease, but he did promise us an eternal life of eternity with him if only we believe and trust in his promises. It can be hard to do that when things aren’t going our way, but that is exactly the time to put this spiritual practice into action. Jesus, I trust in you.
