Monday of the Fourth Week of Advent
Not According to Plan
As we head into the final days of Advent, the story of how this journey began is once again front and center. Mary is the ultimate example of complete trust in God. She gives us the road map we’ve been searching for, although, more often than not, we look for alternate routes, constantly recalculating our spiritual GPS in search of a less challenging course. We have an inkling of what God is calling us to do, but we say, “Impossible!” Then we wait for God to make us another offer. What if we follow Mary’s lead instead? Can we trust in what God has in store for us, even if it’s not on our vision board? Do we believe that God has our back?
