Restorative Justice

Victims’ Ministry provides “Help, Hope, and Healing” to the victims of violent crime and their families. We offer referrals, spiritual care, pastoral accompaniment, education on victims’ rights, and explanation of funding and other recovery resources. In partnership with St. Philip Neri (Lynwood), Our Lady of Victory (Compton), and St. Patrick’s (Los Angeles), the ministry offers a violent crime survivor support group.

Most recently, a Parent Academy was launched at St. Patrick’s Church and will soon expand to other parishes. While the Parent Academy curriculum provides a practical, clinical overview of parenting, the spiritual component is supplemented by Finding the Way.

Our Victims’ Ministry holds weekly group therapy sessions and offers nearly two dozen support group workshops. Staff and volunteers offer ongoing  spiritual accompaniment and support for 500 victims of violent crime.
