Day 6
Mary, Star of the New Evangelization
“Our Lady of Guadalupe is called the Star of the New Evangelization because she announces and presents Jesus as the one true God, the God in whom we live, move and have our being.”
Fr. Juan Ochoa was born in La Barca, Jalisco, México. He was raised in Los Angeles, and his home parish was St. Patrick’s in L.A. He was ordained a priest in 2014, and his first assignment was at St. Emydius in Lynwood. He then was assigned as an Associate Pastor at The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, while also serving at the Archdiocese of Los Angeles at the Office of Archbishop José H. Gomez. Currently, he is the Administrator Pastor of Christ the King Church in Los Angeles and appointed President of the Commission Guadalupana, organizers of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ pilgrimage, procession and Mass to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego.
