The Centro Pro Unione in Rome, founded and directed by the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement, is an ecumenical research and action center. Its purpose is to give space for dialogue, to be a place of study, research, and formation in ecumenism: theological, pastoral, social, and spiritual. Located in Rome, the Centro has an extensive library specializing in the field of ecumenism. It works to promote ecumenical dialogue through meetings and conferences and by maintaining up-to-date documentation on the official theological dialogues.
The Centro organizes educational initiatives at the pre- and post-graduate levels in English and Italian, including symposia, annual cycle of conferences, study days and, most notably, its 3-week “Summer School” course, taught in English and designed to introduce participants from all over the world to the ecumenical and interreligious movements from a Catholic perspective.
Please visit the Centro’s website for more information on educational opportunities and to access its extensive online archive of full-text documents and agreed statements of various international and inter-confessional theological dialogues.
