Proposition 1 would enshrine the explicit right to abortion in our state constitution, setting a nationwide precedent. It is the most egregious expansion of abortion this country has ever seen.
As we enter the final months of this election year, we are once again reminded that, as Catholics, we are called to faithful participation in civic affairs. There are specific rights, obligations, and requirements for tax-exempt entities participating in the electoral and ballot proposition processes.
