Position Summary

This position is a full-time, non-exempt position accompanied by hourly pay and benefits (including healthcare insurance, retirement savings plan). The staff member will work directly with and report to the Director of Advancement as well as support the Notre Dame community with special events as assigned.

The advancement team supports the Notre Dame High School community through the cultivation of relationships and resources. All members of the team will assist in the development and management of relationships with alumni, donors, community members, foundations, and other key supporters or constituents. Confidentiality is imperative in this department. We are committed to teamwork, collaboration, and excellence.

This position will assist with the planning, management and production of events supporting the Notre Dame Community including, but not limited to Gala, Golf Tournament, Alumni Events, Mother’s Guild, and other events as requested. An ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, a collaborative approach to their work, and an interest in working as part of a dynamic team.

ADVANCEMENT EVENTS COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the planning, management and execution of events supporting the Notre Dame Community including, but not limited to Gala, Golf Tournament, Alumni Events, Mother’s Guild, and other events as requested.
  • Support the day of production of events, including volunteers, vendors, and staff.
  • Assist with the creation of the messaging, program, and run of show for events.
  • Work collaboratively with the Business and Advancement teams to ensure that vendors are paid in a timely manner, event donations are accurately recorded, and donors are appropriately thanked.
  • Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge software, account management and data entry in coordination with Data Management staff. Develop reports as necessary and requested.
  • Other duties, as needed and requested.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills with donors, vendors, and staff.
  • Ability to work well with others, exercise sound judgment, and work occasional flexible hours (including evening and weekend work as needed).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Suite
  • Experience with donor/constituent management and event management systems such as Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT and OneCause preferred.

Compensation: $33-$35 an hour depending on education and experience.

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
