About
the parish
“Welcome! St. Victor’s parish promotes Christian love, participation, and unity among its diverse members in a media intense area around the celebration and contemplation of the Eucharist.
The length of time for the Liturgy is often not sufficient for deep contemplation. For one flash of mystical intimacy one might need many minutes in contemplation. Interiorizing the Eucharist so that mystery of Jesus is not just in our minds but also in our hearts and souls takes time. More time than can be accomplished at Mass. That’s why adoring Jesus in the Monstrance is so necessary. Eucharistic celebration at mass needs to be prolonged in Holy Hours before the Blessed Sacrament.
St. Victor’s offers Holy Hours (Eucharistic Adoration) every Monday night from 6:30 to 7:45 before the Novena Mass; and from 8 to 9 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
On Monday evenings, at 6:30 pm, in the children’s room, we listen to a John Main tape on growing in contemplation.
St.Victor’s Catholic Church is located in the heart of a busy and heavily populated metropolis. Located at 8634 Holloway Drive. One and a half blocks west of La Cienega and one and one half blocks east of Sunset. 310.652.6477
We seek to follow the Lord and live the good news–the gospel–according to our ancient Catholic tradition. We welcome all, regardless of race, nationality, gender, socio-economic class or sexual orientation. We believe in the power of the gospel to transform our lives and society around us, even in the most cosmopolitan of settings. We are a city on a hill. We are the light of the world. We are the salt of the earth.
We are located in West Hollywood and serve residents of that city and the surrounding areas of Los Angeles. We are pleased to offer an outstanding music program to complement our liturgy. We seek to serve the outcast of society, those marginalized through economic status, social disapproval or any kind of discrimination. God does not discriminate.
We invite you to join us in our service to God and neighbor, especially those in our midst who are shunned by the rest of society. All are welcome at St. Victor’s.”
