Description
Visitation is seeking to retain the services of an Independent Contractor for the purpose of providing Website and Social Media services for the Church of the Visitation and School. This position is designed for a faith-filled Catholic and competent professional who is eager to share the Good News of the Gospel through digital and social media.
Reports to: Pastor/Parish Administrator
Key Responsibilities
- Continuing development and maintenance of the Parish Website and the School Website.
- Continuing development and maintenance of Social Media Channels for the Church and the School.
- Assistance with the digital and visual communication efforts within the Church as well as the School. (i.e., Parish Post Newsletters, working with department heads with communication, working with the live-stream team, helping to photograph or contract photographers for events.)
- Assistance with the development of marking materials and outreach. (i.e., proofing, pickup, monthly HomeTown News ads, brochures for parish projects, school recruitment materials.)
- Attendance at bi-monthly staff meetings
Requirements
Qualifications
- Candidate should be proficient in, or able to familiarize self with, the following programs:
- Facebook (School and Church)
- Instagram (School)
- Vimeo
- Email Marketing Platform (Currently using Constant Contact)
- CMS (Currently using WIX, Weebly, and beginning in summer of 2024 Edlio)
- Graphic Design programs (Such as Canva or CS Suite)
- Flocknote
- Commitment to modeling Catholic values and teaching
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Creative passion to think outside the box and try new ideas
- Able to foster a welcoming and supportive environment for all
- Preference is given to practicing Roman Catholics
Fees for Service
Monthly Service Fee of $2500, starting June/July 2024.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
