Our Lady of Grace (OLG) is a pre-school – eighth grade Catholic school located in Encino. We are looking to add to our coaching staff for the seventh and eighth graders (“A” level) in the 2024-25 school year. Sports that we are actively seeking coaches for include boys flag football, boys and girls basketball, soccer, and boys and girls volleyball.
Description:
We are seeking passionate and experienced coaches to join our team and inspire athletes to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in their respective sport, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to foster a positive and supportive environment for our OLG athletes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement training programs tailored to individual and team needs and within the context of a faith-based, Catholic environment.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to athletes to help them improve their skills and performance.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for athletes, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline.
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director to ensure a cohesive and effective coaching approach.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of the sport and its techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
- Complete certification process to obtain a Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) coaching card.
- Commitment to uphold the values of integrity, respect, and fairness in sports within a faith-based, Catholic environment.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
