Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a regular full-time Social Science Teacher focused on World History, Geography Honors, Modern World History, Government, and Economics for the upcoming school year, beginning August 2024.

Essential Job Functions:

• Teach and engage with students in an active, effective learning environment
• Collaborate with peers to develop, review, and continuously improve curriculum
• Effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
• Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth, including sharing best practices in pedagogy and educational technology
• Maintain accurate and timely grading and attendance records
• Actively support the co-curricular and extra-curricular programs of the school

Requirements

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, History or related field
• Master’s degree in Social Science, History, or Education preferred
• Previous teaching experience in high school preferred
• Must possess strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Must demonstrate proficiency in current technology applications for classroom learning

Wage Range: The anticipated annual salary range that the school reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $52,000 and $70,000 per year, depending on qualifications such as experience and education.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
