Notre Dame Academy High School in West Los Angeles is seeking a highly qualified full-time social science teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success teaching AP or college preparatory social science classes in areas such as United States Government, Economics, United States History, and/or Modern World History. We seek an educator who understands how history informs contemporary issues and how studying the social sciences equips students to successfully navigate the world.
NDA seeks a creative teacher with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in history, political science, or a related field, successful high school teaching experience, and an interest in developing compelling curriculum content for high school students. He or she should be able to work collaboratively and independently within the Humanities department. This individual must be innovative, dynamic, energetic, organized, flexible, and hard working, modeling for students a growth mindset. We seek faculty members who are intellectually curious, willing to grow professionally, student focused, dedicated to lifelong learning, and able to effectively collaborate with faculty, students, and parents to enhance our learning community.

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
