School (PS-8) Business Manager & Bookkeeper $50,000 to $60,000 Depends on Experience – negotiable

Overall Role (we are a small school of 105 students)
Oversee all finance functions and management of the school office
Assist principal in the financial stewardship of the school
Establish a working relationship with the Archdiocese financial department
Serve on the School’s Leadership Team & Church Finance Team
Report to Principal

Essential Job Functions: A more detailed description of these duties is available at the school. The business manager is responsible for:

Accounts Payable: Receive, verify and pay invoices. Maintain contact information of vendors.
Ensure that appropriate expenditures are placed in the proper Accounts/Sub Accounts within QuickBooks/Aplos. Establish and maintain a procedure for weekly processing of vendor checks
Prepare and assist families with tuition and fee payment plans, including financial aid (CEF and NEI)
Ensure that all transactions are properly and accurately entered into Quickbooks/Aplos on a timely basis, including sports, fundraisers, retreats, purchases, field trips, after care fees.
Track delinquent accounts, sending late notices, and advising principal of actions taken
Provide Payroll and Benefits support: submitting payroll to TCM and advising staff on matters of enrolling in benefits plans.
Onboarding new employees’ paperwork and updating files as well as overseeing VPIN compliance
Setting up and deleting Google email accounts of new and departing staff
Supervising front office staff and overall customer service
Property Management: overseeing needed facility repairs in collaboration with the principal and parish secretary. Contacting vendors to set up regular service (exterminators, AC, and summer cleaning)


Bilingual in Spanish and English
Superior customer service skills
BA degree – preferably in accounting or related field
Fingerprint clearance and Safeguard the Children certificate (can get when hired)
CA Driver’s License

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
