Saint Joseph School is located in the heart of Hawthorne and have served our community for over 90 years. We are seeking a dynamic part time middle school religion teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate would work in collaboration with faculty to ensure academic excellence through rigorous and engaging lessons that are aligned to the ADLA religion standards. We expect frequent and open communication with parents on a regular basis. Our school is currently in phase 3 of teaching under the blended learning model. You must be comfortable utilizing technology, especially for differentiated instruction.
The ideal candidate must model Catholic teachings and values and uphold school policies. Must be able to possess strong classroom management skills.
Requirements
-Minimum B.A. or B.S. in related field
-Preference will be given to MA or MS with a valid Clear CA teaching credential
-ADLA fingerprinted
-Virtus Trained
-CPR certified

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
