Immaculate Conception STEM Academy is a product of the rich and adaptable faith-based education provided on the campus for over a century. This unique parish school site opened its doors in 1922. Since then, the school has successfully adapted to the changing times and needs in the Monrovia and neighboring communities. Today, Immaculate Conception STEM Academy serves students in grades TK-8. It is also a highly regarded member of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles STEM network of schools. Immaculate Conception STEM Academy is committed to preparing students to be faith-filled, active members of our global community by applying their Catholic education to engineer innovative solutions to influence the world around them.

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic thinker who is committed to best practices in STEM Learning and programs, and is passionate about partnering with our teachers, principals and students to create a high-quality program for the most vulnerable and underrepresented students. This candidate will be highly proficient in STEM pedagogy, practices and thinking in order to promote skills to succeed and integrity to transform!!

  • Values, engages, and communicates appropriately and effectively with all stakeholders in supporting programs and opportunities.
  • Ensures students are seen as people whose intellectual growth is harmonized with spiritual, religious, emotional, and social development.
  • Develops, implements, and oversees academic, co-curricular, faith-formation, and service/ministry programs to educate the whole child.

Requirements

  • Practicing Catholic
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience OR 3 years working at a non-profit organization in a leadership role
  • Earned Master’s Degree OR State Approved Teaching Credential
  • Catechetical Certification to be completed by the first two years of
  • leadership

Compensation commensurate with level of experience, relevant professional certifications, and/or degrees earned. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles offers health benefits including medical, dental, and vision and all employees are enrolled in pension benefits from the time of employment and considered vested after five years of full-time employment.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
