St. Lawrence Martyr School provides an environment of academic excellence rooted in the Catholic faith to students in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. We are located in Redondo Beach and are blessed with a supportive parish and parent community.
St Lawrence Martyr is seeking an exceptional PE Teacher and Athletic Director. The teacher is responsible teaching students TK-8 in addition to overseeing the after school CYO sports program.
Responsibilities include:
- prepare and teach PE lessons for TK-8th grade
- exhibit knowledge of PE standards and instructional strategies
- maintain appropriate classroom management
- work with CYO to organize/schedule games
- work with parent volunteer coaches
- communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- plan and organize Sports Day
- plan and organize an after school basketball tournament in March
Requirements
Required
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited university or college
Preferred
- CA Teaching Credential
- 3-5 years teaching experience
- Practicing Catholic
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
