St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Humanities Teacher to join our vibrant academic community. Responsibilities:
– Develop and deliver engaging lessons in humanities subjects (including but not limited to English Language Arts and Social Studies) for middle school students.
– Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and spiritual development.
– Implement a curriculum that integrates Catholic teachings and values into daily lessons.
– Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
– Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as needed.
– Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
– Communicate effectively and regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and school events.
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related field (Teaching Credential or Master’s degree preferred).
– Experience teaching middle school students, preferably in a Catholic or faith-based school environment.
– Understanding of Catholic teachings and ability to integrate faith into curriculum and classroom discussions.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Commitment to professional growth and participation in school-related activities.
