We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior High Homeroom (grades 6-8) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering spiritual growth, and teaching the whole child. This individual will demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with colleagues, engage in ongoing professional development, and uphold the values and teachings of the Catholic faith.

Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and Catholic teachings.
– Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel safe, valued, and respected.
– Develop weekly lesson plans and grading assessments to monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
– Integrate opportunities for spiritual growth, prayer, and reflection into daily lessons and activities.
– Foster a sense of community and teamwork by collaborating with colleagues, parents, and community members.
– Support students’ social and emotional development by implementing strategies for conflict resolution, empathy-building, and character education.
– Implement a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to engage students and enhance learning experiences.
– Participate in school-wide events, committees, and professional development activities to support the school’s mission and goals.

Qualifications:
– Strong understanding of Catholic teachings, values, and traditions
– Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
– Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
– Commitment to ongoing professional development

Requirements

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
– Valid teaching certification/license (or eligible for certification in the state) – must obtain within five years of hiring
– Previous experience teaching junior high grade levels, preferably in a Catholic school setting, strongly preferred
-Virtus training (provided once hired)
-Livescan fingerprinting (required before hiring)

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
