St. Bernard High School is now accepting applications for Dance Instructor for the 2024-2025 school year (part-time). The successful candidate will be a dynamic and creative instructor with excellent communication skills.

JOB DUTIES
Plan and teach dance classes, including setting up and breaking down the studio
Develop and implement lesson plans that are tailored to the needs of each student
Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback
Maintain a clean and organized studio space
Provide individualized instruction and guidance
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members
Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
Adhere to all safety regulations
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Able to motivate and inspire students
Able to work with a diverse student population
Knowledge of multiple dance styles, including jazz, hip-hop, and tap

Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of teaching experience in dance
Professional certification in dance or related field

Wage Range

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
