Description

St. Jude the Apostle School is looking to hire a 35 hour a week Front Office Clerk position for the 2024-25 school year. This position is considered a full-time position with the possibility of working more than 35 hours per week at the discretion of the principal. It comes with full-time benefits and Holiday pay.

We are currently looking for a Front Office Clerk that is friendly and welcoming as this person will serve as the face of the school. This position includes many duties and responsibilities to help the office and school operate daily. The position would start August 5th.

The Front Office Clerk will need to be able to perform the following duties:
– Proficient in Google Docs, Calendar, Sheets and other Google products online
– Ability to work in an environment that includes dealing with students, staff and parents at various times of the day with a positive and calm demeanor
– Responds to tasks quickly and efficiently to help teachers and students be successful
– Organized and great at communication with all members of the school community
– Flexible to have alternative duties when the need arises (i.e. helping in the nurse room)
– Can maintain the office in a clean and orderly way to offer a welcoming environment for all who come to the office
– Ability to schedule appointments, answer calls and file paperwork needed
– An ability to understand or learn more about the office equipment needed to run the office smoothly such as the copier machine and other office essentials
– Ability to work our online systems to organize attendance records and communicate with families and teachers of student attendance records

Work Schedule

This is an 11 month contract. No Weekends or Holidays required to work. Will get 3 weeks off in the Winter, 1 week in the Spring and the Month of July off.

Various holiday’s paid days off (Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Easter, Memorial Day)

7:30am – 3pm (Flexible schedule to stay until 4pm as needed)

Compensation

Starting pay is dependent on experience and education. This position will be consistent with the ADLA pay scale but will be an hourly position. The hourly rate will reflect the teacher salary equivalent. Employee will be offered full-time benefits which include medical, dental, vision and much more.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
