Description
Responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and restoration of parish properties that include the church, school, parish hall, and rectory & clergy residence. The job requires general routine maintenance of school buildings – classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, hall, and bathrooms; Church building – bathrooms, flower room, storage room, loft, floors, doors, vestibule; Parking lot, gates, and school grounds. Performance of various routine and special/basic maintenance of air conditioning system and electrical repairs; routine carpentry, painting, and plumbing duties.
Requirements
• Must have completed high school education
• Minimum of three-year experience working in facilities maintenance job
• Any combination of education and experience to provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities of a good facilities maintenance personnel
• Excellent organizational and planning skills so that prime concerns are handled with importance and priority
• Excellent time management skills so that works are completed on a timely manner
• Attention to detail and accurate job execution to avoid costly reworks and mistakes
• Knowledge of basic carpentry and painting
• Knowledge of routine plumbing maintenance and repair
• Knowledge of maintenance and servicing of fire extinguishers, fire alarms, carbon monoxide alarms
• Knowledge of basic electrical wiring, switches, and repair skills
• Knowledge to monitor and maintain air conditioning and refrigeration equipment
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
