Description
CSHM will be launching an Engineering pathway for the 2024-2025 school year. The teacher for the program will lead the engineering program. The following is a brief overview of the Engineering Pathway: CSHM Engineering Academic Pathway will provide students with the opportunity to take Engineering courses offered through Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum. Also, students will take courses specifically needed in Math and Science to be eligible to apply to engineering university programs. The PLTW Engineering courses will provide students the opportunity to engage in a curriculum designed for problem-solving, engaging in solving real-world challenges, developing critical thinking skills, and becoming collaborators with their peers. The CSHM Engineering Academic Pathway will provide students with the knowledge, skills, and experience to become successful in college and in their careers in the Engineering field.
Requirements
Academic Background preferred in Math, Physics or Engineering.
Completion of PLTW Required training for teaching specific courses. (training can be completed in Summer 2024)
Mentoring students to careers in engineer field (help students research engineering programs)
Attend field trips in relation to the Engineering program
May also teach Advanced Math and Science courses
Advanced knowledge and skills of incorporating technology into instruction.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
