Immaculate Heart is a Catholic, independent, all girls college preparatory middle and high school dedicated to the intellectual vitality, spiritual growth, moral strength, and social-emotional development of its students. We are currently seeking a strategic and dynamic individual to serve as the Director of Marketing and Communications in the Development and Alumnae Relations Office. Reporting to the President, this position will play a critical role in shaping the school’s brand image, overseeing strategic marketing initiatives, and ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. The Director will supervise the Social Media Coordinator and will work with the Web Coordinator and Marketing and Communications Coordinator. The Director of Marketing and Communications will also collaborate closely with the Admissions and Development teams and the Middle and High School Principals to support enrollment, fundraising, and community engagement efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing and Communications:
• Direct and cultivate a comprehensive communications program to establish a positive and consistent image for Immaculate Heart.
• Lead all marketing efforts, spanning digital, print, and social media, to effectively tell the story of Immaculate Heart.
• Develop and manage an annual communications and marketing plan as well as a publications calendar.
Messaging and Brand Stewardship:
• Act as brand manager for Immaculate Heart by upholding and managing the school’s brand identity, ensuring alignment with brand standards, visual identity, and messaging
• Coordinate with departments on school-wide publications.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
• Lead a collaborative team that executes all Immaculate Heart publications, advertising, website management, social media, and brand identity.
• Coach and encourage the professional development of department staff, ensuring a high level of performance and engagement.
• Collaborate seamlessly with Admissions, Advancement, and Technology departments to ensure timely and strategic communication efforts.
Digital Supervision and Online Engagement:
• Monitor and make recommendations regarding the school’s online presence, including the website and social media.
• Create and produce timely news and social media updates and ensure that the website remains updated and aligned with messaging goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in an educational setting, is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication abilities, with strong proofreading and editing skills.
• Experience with social media management and strategy.
• Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate with broad and varied audiences.
• Proficiency in photo, video, and media editing preferred
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred but not required.

Wage Range

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
