Description
Under the direction of the Principal, the Dean of Students is responsible for forming relationships with students and families in the SBCP community in order to support alignment with the SBCP mission, codes of conduct, and student behavior expectations (as detailed in the SBCP Parent-Student Handbook).
JOB DUTIES
- Ensuring a safe and effective culture of learning on campus.
- Conducting classroom observations and providing consultation and support in collaboration with the Principal, Vice Principal and AP of Academics related to classroom management system design and implementation.
- Conducting investigations related to reports and referrals, and ensuring accountability as detailed in the Student-Parent/Guardian Handbook
- Being a presence in various spaces and times of the day, such as passing periods, breaks, and lunchtime, as well as periodic and regular presence in hallways and collaborative learning spaces
- Leading training for teachers and staff who directly support students on restorative practice techniques and approaches to use with students for less serious issues.
- The Dean of Students will help compile, analyze, and respond to data such as student attendance, disciplinary data, and academic data to ensure students meet SBCP expectations for success.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
