Description
The bookkeeper oversees the school’s financial data and maintains accurate books on the accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and parent accounts through daily entries and reconciliations. The bookkeeper also assists with daily activities centered around school operations. As a member of the Administrative Team, the bookkeeper does often have contact with children, parents, and teachers and does assist with their requests.
Requirements
All applicants must have a high school diploma, knowledge of bookkeeping software, and previous experience preforming accounting and administrative duties. The applicants must be trustworthy, knowledgeable, detailed oriented and have positive communication skills, both verbally and written. Strong customer service characteristics are a must.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
