Description
Corpus Christi School is looking to hire an experienced teacher to join us as our full-time Athletic Director and PE Teacher for Grades Kindergarten through 8th. Candidates must be enthusiastic in promoting and conisistently implementing a fitness and health curriculum for all students in grades K-8, be knowledgeable about seasonal sports, CYO regulations and athleticism, as well as being collaborative and willing to work with colleagues to support a positive continuum of learning. Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as they will be working closely with parents and students, as well as proficiency in the use and application of technology for communication, instruction and learning as needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and teach P.E. lessons for Grades K to 8
- Supervise and manage students’ behavior and needs in class
- Maintain appropriate discipline and decorum
- Implement age appropriate activities and monitor safety throughout
- Maintain, manage and organize PE equipment and materials
- Generate a weekly digital “Sports Report” for school families
- Generate Trimester and mid-Trimester student grades
- Oversee the after school sports program
- Communicate with administration, coaches, parents and players
- Communicate effectively with CYO officials for after school sports needs
- Attend CYO meetings
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the principal
Requirements
CYO certification or willingness to apply
Employee will be fingerprinted
VIRTUS certification after hiring
BA/BS (Minimum) in PE or related field
Experience in teaching PE, coaching, and/or athletics

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
