Salary Range: $66,600 – $84,600 annually

Summary: Reporting to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management in collaboration with team members, the Assistant Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management will support the admissions practices and programs that introduce families to Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy and promote application and enrollment. We seek an enthusiastic and experienced relationship-builder and team player committed to FSHA’s mission, equity and access, and who views the importance of first encounters all the way through enrollment as key to ensuring a meaningful FSHA experience. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a desire to learn from and with others. Collegiality, sense of humor, and enthusiasm for admissions and outreach work are a must. Ideal candidates will be proactive problem-solvers who can work independently and collaboratively as part of a joyful team.

Essential Job Functions:
● Carry out day recruitment efforts promoting FSHA through campus tours, presentations and events on campus, in the community, and school fairs
● Oversee admissions data collection, management and reporting
● Manage application process in Blackbaud from inquiries, applicants to enrollments
● Responsible for organizing applicant interview schedule
● Assist with the planning and coordinating for high school open house, information sessions, campus tours, student visits/shadow days, yield events, and celebrations
● Interview families applying to FSHA
● Read and evaluate admissions applications and materials
● Develop, cultivate and manage relationships with local schools and community partners
● Work with Student and Parent Admissions Ambassador volunteers
● Evening and weekend work is required, along with travel to local feeder schools
● Other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management and the Associate Director of Admissions

Requirements

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 3-5 years of experience working directly with students and/or parents
  • Patience, commitment to hard work, an active sense of community
  • Proven ability to work in a professional environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and logistics
  • Experienced with data collection and analysis
  • Candidates who are bilingual or multilingual are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Relevant work experience, preferably in admissions at a high school or college
  • Experience with admissions-oriented database platforms, such as Blackbaud

Physical and Environmental Conditions:

  • Sitting, standing and walking for an extended period of time.
  • Requires the mobility to stand, stoop, reach, and bend and the ability to lift, carry and/or pull boxes and items not to exceed at least 30 pounds.
  • Adverse movements required such as reaching overhead, bending, or crouching.
  • Simultaneous/repetitive uses of both hands is required for writing and data entry.
  • Excellent sensory skills are important (sight, hearing and speech) as well as the ability to communicate effectively.

Wage Range

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
