Administrative Assistant – Part Time $16-$20 an hour

Saint Joseph School is a family oriented community located in Hawthorne. We are seeking a dynamic administrative assistant to begin training for the 2024-2025 school year. You will be the friendly face to greet families or assist them on the phone. Clerical tasks include light typing, data entry on online platforms, collecting money and logging transactions, assisting students with minor injuries/illness, and working collaboratively with the principal and office personnel. The ideal candidate needs to have strong communication skills and is detail oriented.

-High School Diploma
-Communicate effectively in English/Spanish including writing at intermediate level.
-Computer literacy skills (Google Docs/Sheets/Calendar/Mail, Gradelink, FACTS)
-Produce business letters
-Post and review social media posts (Facebook/Instagram)
-Produce weekly newsletters
-Assist with hospitality on special occasions
-CPR Certified (Infant/Child/Adult)
-ADLA Fingerprinted
-Virtus Certified

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
