Description
St. Maria Goretti Catholic School is seeking an enthusiastic Jr. High School Teacher for 8th-grade homeroom.
The candidate should be able to teach 6th-8th grade Jr. High. The candidate should be able to integrate technology in the classroom, be willing to integrate learning strategies, and work collaboratively with a Jr. High Team to support the academic success of all students.
The 8th Grade Teacher respects Catholic values and aids students in Christian formation by exemplifying Catholic living, both in and out of the classroom. Teachers are to implement the school mission and philosophy, follow the policies of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, and adhere to the staff and parent handbooks of St. Maria Goretti School and the directives set by the school administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- CA Teaching Credential or MA degree preferred (or currently enrolled in a program)
- Ability to teach using technology using technology
- Professional growth and ongoing faith formation is required
- Knowledgeable in the areas of Renaissance STAR Assessments, Accelerated Reader, Gradelink, Planbook.com, and Google Suites is helpful.
