Description

Corpus Christi School is a K-8 school located in Pacific Palisades. We are seeking a dynamic, professional, experienced full time 6th Grade Literature and Middle School Religion teacher for grades sixth through eighth grades for the 2024-2025 school year. The salary is based on credentials and experience teaching and ranges from $50,000-$70,000.00.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Be responsible for teaching Literature and ELA, using the Common Core State Standards for 6th grade classes, and 6th-8th Religion
  • Be a dynamic individual looking to become a member of the Corpus Christi School
  • Be someone who cares about the whole child and will demonstrate a willingness to be part of a team, working on behalf of students
  • Be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church
  • Have experience as a lead teacher able to provide effective teaching methodologies and classroom management
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively in the spoken and written word and use technology to communicate and to create and present effective lessons
  • Have the ability to be flexible and adjust to the daily demands of the job
  • Have the knowledge and skills to effectively manage Middle School students

Requirements

Ideally-Possess a teaching credential and/or Master’s from an accredited university (or be currently enrolled in a Master’s and/or credential program). The candidate also needs to be Catholic, have the capability to implement technology in support of the curriculum, and to exemplify the mission of Corpus Christi School.

Wage Range

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
