Mass Celebrating the Initiation of the Synodal Way

The Archdiocese of Los Angeles invites you to a Mass Celebrating the Initiation of the Synodal Way on Sunday, October 31, 2021.
Archbishop Jose H. Gomez, will celebrate the special liturgy at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels at 10 AM that will be livestreamed.
The theme of the synod is “For a synodal Church: communion, participation and mission.”
The consultative process at the diocese will begin in early 2022 and will explore 10 general themes: Companions on the Journey; Listening; Speaking Out; Celebration; Sharing Responsibility for Our Common Mission; Dialogue in Church and Society; Ecumenism; Authority and Participation; Discerning and Deciding; and Forming Ourselves in Synodality.
The insights gathered from local Catholics will be combined with those from other dioceses and will then be used to guide the discussion at the international level. The synod process will conclude with a General Assembly at the Vatican in October 2023.

La Arquidiócesis de Los Ángeles te invita a una Misa Celebrando la Iniciación del Camino Sinodal el domingo 31 de octubre de 2021.
El Arzobispo José H. Gómez, celebrará la liturgia especial en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles a las 10 AM que será transmitida en vivo.
El tema del sínodo es “Por una Iglesia sinodal: comunión, participación y misión”.
El proceso consultivo en la diócesis comenzará a principios de 2022 y explorará 10 temas generales: Compañeros en el viaje; Escuchando; Hablar; Celebracion; Compartiendo la responsabilidad de nuestra misión común; Diálogo en Iglesia y Sociedad; Ecumenismo; Autoridad y Participación; Discernir y Decidir; y formarnos en sinodalidad.
Las ideas recopiladas de los católicos locales se combinarán con las de otras diócesis y luego se utilizarán para guiar la discusión a nivel internacional. El proceso del sínodo concluirá con una Asamblea General en el Vaticano en octubre de 2023.
