The recording of the CBI webinar, “Passover: Why Is This Night Different from All Other Nights?”, led by Rabbi Jason Fruithandler is now available to download for faith formation and personal enrichment.
For two millennia the Jewish people have sought to recreate the spiritual, existential, and historical moment that was the eve of the Exodus. They have done with sacred words, songs, and stories. This night is called the Passover Seder. Join Rabbi Fruithandler as he gives an overview to the development of the modern seder and a window into what is happening in Jewish homes today.

A Message from Rabbi Jason Fruithandler
Thank you for coming to our talk! I’m looking forward to learning together and opening up a little about what exactly a Passover Seder is. It is an exciting opportunity to try and see one of our holiest nights through your eyes. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with what Passover in the Jewish context is I recommend the following brief article, “Passover Pesach 101“.
I will be teaching from the text of the Haggadah (the script for the night of the Seder) which can be found here.
I will begin the night in the Bible Exodus Chapter 12 and 13. This is the translation I’ll be working off of. I don’t know if there will be any significant differences from the one’s you likely already own. (Click Here to view)
Finally, If you have a minute, I highly recommend you listen to the last two week’s podcasts on the subject of the Exodus. It is episodes 13 and 14 and they can be found here.
Thank you again for attending! I’m looking forward to our chance to be together virtually.
