Archbishop José H. Gomez will celebrate Easter Sunday Mass, the Mass of the Resurrection of Our Lord, on Sunday, March 31, 2024 in Spanish at 12:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, 555 W. The feast of the Resurrection of Christ is the oldest and most important Christian celebration. Christians believe that by rising from the dead, Jesus demonstrated his power over sin and death, manifesting his divinity as the Son of God. According to the Christian Scriptures, Jesus is the long-awaited Messiah who offered his life for the sins of the world as was prophesied in the Hebrew Scriptures.

ABC7 Los Angeles will broadcast Easter Sunday Mass in English at 10 a.m. and in Spanish at 12:30 p.m. on the Localish Network, over the air on digital channel 7.2 (check local listing for the provider) and via cable on Spectrum 1246 or 703, Frontier 467, COX Cable 1133 and Mediacom 520. Sirius XM will broadcast on the Catholic Channel Sirius XM 129. Guadalupe Radio ( will transmit Easter Mass live at 12:30 p.m. PST and El Sembrador ( will rebroadcast the Mass in Spanish at 5 p.m. PST on Easter Sunday.
