Holy Trinity Philosophy in Motion:
Holy Trinity provides an educational experience which prepares our students academically, morally, spiritually, and socially for high school and a full Christian life. Our school fosters the worth of the individual and promotes a strong sense of personal and social responsibility.

Holy Trinity stresses intellectual and spiritual discipline, as well as physical well-being. We also value compassion. responsibility, generosity, and idealism. The Vice-Principal has, as delegate of the principal, immediate responsibility for implementing the operations of the school. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

§ A willingness to minister to the faculty, staff, parents, and students in working together to accomplish the mission of Holy Trinity School in its endeavor to educate children in the Catholic faith

§ A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church

§ Have an expertise in curriculum, including Common Core State Standards, and methodologies, including Student Engagement activities and Differentiated Instruction

§ Ability to work collaboratively and build teams

§ Ability to deal confidentially and with discretion in matters that are sensitive

§ Ability to communicate effectively in the spoken and written word and use technology to communicate, make presentations, do research, and create presentation materials

§ Ability to be flexible and adjust to the daily demands of the job

§ Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding students, personnel and school matters.

§ Work effectively, respectfully and positively with all members of the community.

§ Motivated, driven, self-starter.

Essential Functions of an Instructional Leader:
Daily classroom walk-throughs (announced and unannounced)
Under the guidance of the principal, observations, and post-conferences with are done together.
Assist in the planning of professional development at faculty meetings
Keep a binder with agendas and minutes of all meetings
Work with the principal to plan and carry out faculty professional development and retreat days
In the absence of the principal on campus, the vice-principal will oversee and handle any situation that arises.
WASC Leadership
Safeguarding children, maintaining Virtus, TB, fingerprinting and other guidelines for working with minors
Administrative Team member

Serve as a mentor to the new teachers in lesson development, lesson modeling, assisting with grading practices and procedures
Classroom environment
Student/faculty relationships and behavior
Internal communications
Compliance with school policies
Parent-teacher communications

Intervention & Student Support:
Work with teachers to assist Tier 2 & 3 students, including progress monitoring
Observe the students in the classroom and make suggestions for the teachers in assisting students in meeting academic benchmarks.
STEP Meeting Coordinator for Grades K-5

Responsible for all yard duty personnel
Creating schedules for morning, recess, and after school duty

Handle discipline issues that arise on the schoolyard during lunch time
Handle discipline issues that the principal refers to you
Communicate with parents/guardians

Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Conduct Professional Development for classroom instructional aides
Guide the aides in their work in the classrooms, encouraging
Differentiated Instruction.
Look at the aides’ plan books weekly to monitor this
Serve on the hiring committee for new teachers
Member of the Administrative Team
Liaison between the principal and the Scholastic Computer Lab Aides
STAR Testing Coordinator
Order Textbook and ensure they are counted and distributed
School events, including some evening events/meetings
Arrange for assembly programs for the students
Religion Coordinator
Disaster Coordinator-fire drills, emergency supplies, etc.
Covering the office at recess and lunch, as needed
Some clerical duties, as needed


Preferred Masters’ Degree in Curriculum, Instructional Leadership, or Educational Administration from an accredited university
Acceptable: Masters’ Degree in above, in progress
A valid California Teaching Credential
A minimum of five years of successful Catholic School teaching experience
