- Continual development and effective implementation of a NGSS-based PBL biology curriculum
- Maintain a marine biology research laboratory and facilitate independent student research
- Cultivate an inclusive, collaborative, and rigorous learning environment for freshmen that builds the foundational skills and habits of mind necessary for the success of all high school science students

- The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of high school teaching experience in the biological sciences
- Demonstrated experience directing independent research by students
- Knowledge of marine science
- Desired Qualifications:
- California Teaching Credential OR Master’s Degree in the biological sciences
- Experience teaching in a Catholic school environment
