St. Emydius Catholic School is seeking a a Full-time, Faith-filled Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Teacher for the 2022-2023 School Year. The ideal candidate creates and implements lesson plans that engage a diverse group of learners, maintains classroom decorum, assesses student progress, and analyzes data in order to strategically aid students in reaching their learning goals. The TK Teacher will provide an age appropriate educational program for students transitioning into kindergarten. A focus on project-based learning and hands-on activities is desired. The teacher will be able to communicate and collaborate well with administration, faculty and staff, and parents and students. Candidate will support the teachings of the Catholic Church, and demonstrate a desire to continually improve upon professional practices while developing a positive school culture.

The ideal candidate will:
-have a solid grasp of core-subject content standards
-use available technology to enhance the students’ learning experiences through Blended Learning
-maintain a safe, organized classroom, which supports students’ independent learning, collaboration and choice
-monitor and maintain a positive classroom environment that supports the school wide behavior expectation in which students are engaged and respectful, providing them with cooperative learning opportunities
-be well-organized, highly energetic, and deeply caring
-work collaboratively with colleagues and partner with parents to communicate student successes and areas of growth
-possess a Bachelors degree from an accredited university (Required)
-possess a teaching credential from an accredited university (or required to be currently enrolled in an credential program)
-be active in the Catholic Church and in good standing with the church’s moral teaching
-continually seek growth opportunities that allow innovation to improve student learning
-participate in and contribute to the life of St. Emydius Catholic School
