St. Athanasius School, an urban school located in North Long Beach, is seeking highly motivated, innovative, compassionate and creative teacher for jr. high level social studies and religion. Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing all aspects of curriculum to leverage student learning, bridge the achievement gap, and empower students to believe in themselves and their ability to navigate their personal journeys.
The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic in possession of a bachelor’s degree (or higher) and a CA teaching credential (or working towards). Willingness and energy to take on multiple roles, ability to work collaboratively with teammates, and capacity to adjust to the needs of the moment are a must. Teacher must be skilled at developing curriculum, utilizing data to inform instruction, and integrating technology as a learning tool. Bilingual English/Spanish desired. Ability to adapt to varied teaching platforms, both in-person and online a must.
