St. Monica Preparatory is seeking a full-time Chemistry teacher for the 2022 – 2023 school year. Full-time faculty responsibilities include teaching 5 classes, serving as a grade-level advisor, and participating in co-curricular activities. Opportunities to integrate interdisciplinary projects and research are woven within the framework of the NGSS curriculum.
The ideal candidate will:

Exhibit a passion for content knowledge and a range of pedagogical approaches while teaching students in Honors Chemistry and college prep level Chemistry within an in-person, blended learning environment.
Create an environment in the classroom and in all areas of co-curricular responsibility that nurtures the development of the whole student.
Show a willingness to engage students in meaningful labs and foster a project-based learning environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop an integrated and meaningful curriculum and student learning experiences.
Serve as a grade-level advisor who is committed to the social and emotional development of students.
A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry is necessary; Masters in Chemistry and/or CA Teaching Credential is preferred. Candidates should have at least three years of experience teaching in a student-centered classroom, integrating technology in the student learning experience that enhances student experiences and growth. Prior experience developing and facilitating online learning lessons is a plus.
