Description

– Teaching assignments include Advanced Placement-level courses in U.S. History at the junior level and World History at the sophomore level. In assigning sections, we strive to balance teachers’ preparations with their area of highest interest.

– The candidate should be a self-starter, very knowledgeable in their teaching field, flexible, and passionate about educating young adults. The candidate should be committed to developing and practicing cultural competence in their role as teacher and colleague. The candidate should also have experience with and be committed to developing best practices to support remote teaching and learning. Experience with project-based learning, inclusive instruction, and/or diversifying curriculum is preferred, but not required.

Requirements

– Applicants should have teaching experience in this subject area, and a master’s degree and/or teaching credential is preferred.

– Experience and qualifications to take on a leadership role as a Department Chair is preferred, but not required.
