Description
Immaculate Heart High School, a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls in grades 9 through 12, located in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, California seeks a motivated and experienced Sprint/Jumps Coach to join our Track and Field team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coaching, a solid understanding of sprint and jumping techniques, and the ability to develop athletes’ skills at all levels. The coach will be responsible for training and developing student-athletes, preparing them for competition, and fostering a positive team culture.
Candidates will be creative and committed to assisting in leading and growing our track and field program. All coaches should commit to teach, mentor and develop young athletes to excel in their sport and to be competent, responsible members of society. All employees must personally embrace the mission and vision of Immaculate Heart High School. Each applicant should be willing to wholeheartedly support the athletic department’s philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement training programs for sprinters and jumpers.
• Lead practice sessions with a focus on technique, conditioning, and injury prevention.
• Mentor and motivate student-athletes, ensuring their academic and athletic growth.
• Develop strategies for competitions and attend all scheduled meets.
• Communicate effectively with the head coach, athletic director, and other coaching staff.
Job Qualifications:
• Previous experience coaching sprints and jumps, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.
• Knowledge of track and field rules and regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches and school staff.
• Available afternoon, evening and some weekends
• Attend all practices, meetings and games
Season of Sport:
• Season – November through May
Requirements
• High School diploma or GED
• Prior high school coaching experience in club and/or high school track and field
• Must be dedicated, enthusiastic, committed and passionate about track and field
• Good communication and organizational skills

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
