Description
Our Lady of Refuge School is seeking a full-time office manager. The office manager has numerous responsibilities which include, but are not limited to scheduling, written and electronic correspondence, maintaining office and school supplies, scheduling vendors and substitute teachers, and keeping vital student records.
The school office manager works directly with the principal. He/she is responsible for the majority of the clerical work in the school, including handling sensitive documents such as student records, family volunteer hours, and tracking fundraising credits. The school office manager works as the principal’s and the school’s secretary, making appointments and managing the principal’s schedule. He/she also greets those who walk into the school office, answer phone calls, and take messages. The school office managers may also be responsible for typing and sending out school documents and maintaining and updating the school calendar. He/she is also usually the person who registers and releases students to school and maintains attendance records.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess an associate or bachelor’s degree, with 3 or more years of school environment experience. Catholic school experience preferred but not required.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
