Established in 1950, Santa Teresita School has been serving the community for over 70 years. Rooted in the charism of the Dominican Sisters, Santa Teresita continues to believe in the mission of teaching the young and the vulnerable. The school community does this by collaborating with the parents to provide a Christian and academic education in a nurturing environment rooted in the Gospel values.

Santa Teresita currently serves children in grades TK-8. We are seeking a leader who is an effective collaborator and open to working with the invaluable partners that invest in the faith based education of our families. This partnerships include Santa Teresita Parish, the local community, Vision of Hope development programs, Loyola Marymount University, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, and additional philanthropy partners. The principal of Santa Teresita will be supported in fulfilling the priorities in the following areas of the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS).

  • Practicing Catholic
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience OR 3 years working at a Non-Profit organization in a leadership role
  • Earned Master’s Degree OR State Approved Teaching Credential
  • Catechetical Certification to be completed by the first two years of leadership

SALARY/BENEFITS: Salary commensurate with education and experience. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles offers health benefits including medical, dental, and vision and all employees are enrolled in pension benefits from the time of employment and considered vested after five years of full-time employment.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
