Part-time Human Resources Coordinator $30.00 per hour

St. John’s Seminary, a Roman Catholic Theology School in Camarillo, California, offers graduate degrees for seminarians pursuing priesthood and lay students pursuing Catholic pastoral ministry.

We are seeking a part time (30 hours with benefits) Human Resources Coordinator. The responsibilities include administering all aspects of Human Resources including but not limited to policies/procedures, benefits administration, compensation, workers compensation, staff recruitment and employee relations. The position is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 to 2:30.

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills.


Minimal Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of current human resources management, laws and trends, policies and procedures.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business, social sciences or related field.
3. Demonstrated three to five years of progressive responsibility in administrative duties in an HR Office, including recruitment and benefits.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience working in a graduate, non-profit, college environment.
2. An understanding of the academic and administrative aspects of independent Catholic higher education.

Salary: $30.00 per hour

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
