Parish Office Receptionist

St Linus Catholic Church (Norwalk)






St. Linus Catholic Church is seeking enthusiastic receptionist for part-time position providing information and customer service to our parish community.

The core duties and responsibilities include but not limited to a variety of tasks such as:

  • Receiving visitors at the front desk
  • Answering incoming phone calls
  • Bulletin editing and design
  • Sorting daily mail
  • Processing payments (e.g., baptisms, weddings, funerals, candles, etc.)
  • Providing receipts and following proper accounting procedures
  • Providing basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Performing other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
  • Assist Business Manager and Parish Secretary with additional administrative tasks throughout the year
  • Multi-tasking and time management with the ability to prioritize tasks


  • Friendly, helpful, positive attitude
  • Customer service experience preferred/Church Office Experience Preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Microsoft Office computer skills
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers)
  • High School Diploma
  • Team player and collaborative
