The P.E. teacher is responsible for planning and implementing P.E. classes for TK-8, monitoring students at recess/lunch, evaluating student outcomes, maintaining student records, promoting good sportsmanship and conflict resolution skills, organizing our after school sports program, including providing coaches with CYO certification for the principal’s approval. The P.E. teacher also helps to plan and organize our annual Field Day and Sports Awards Dinner. The P.E. teacher also serves as our Athletic Director and is responsible for organizing CYO teams and communicating with parents about upcoming practices and games. There is a potential for additional compensation for coaching after school sports teams and/or Summer School classes. The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
